With the addition of many celebrity perfumes on to the fragrance market these days, prices of perfume has gone down considerably since I bought my first bottle of perfume just a few short years back. Perfume prices have gone down even more with the increase of people buying from the internet and it is this computer based shopping that has made even the most expensive bottles of perfume affordable for most people. First of all, the market for perfumes has grown significantly in the last few years which means that the rivals are making their prices more competitive. Brand names such as Chanel, Jean Paul Gaultier and Yves Saint Laurent can obviously keep their prices slightly higher as they are well sought after and highly desirable perfumes. The other perfumes such as the so called celebrity perfumes that seem to be flooding the market of late need to keep their prices down to appeal to a much younger audience as well as allowing for the new perfumes that they are releasing. Britney Spears as one example has released about four or five perfumes at present and because of this, to keep interest high, the prices need to be kept lower. Perfume may still be one of the most expensive of all accessories due to the fact that so many people wear it on a daily basis, both male and female, but the extra brands and names have meant that it is becoming a slightly more affordable accessory for many people and especially the younger end of the market. With this and the increase of internet stores selling perfumes, prices are guaranteed to be kept at a low as these online stores will not have so many bills to have to pay for such as rent etc. of an actual store. These savings are then passed on to the consumers and has allowed for more affordable perfumes.
